On April 15th, 2009, Tax Day, we gathered to protest, once again, Taxation without Representation
That is what has been happening in this country. Yes, we elect representatives....but they aren't listening to us. Just because we voted in the last election don't think we are represented. WE, the TAXPAYERS, are not!

So we gathered together to sign a banner and to pledge to stand together in the future as one united group: Taxpayers.

We had hopes of having 25-50 people. Imagine our surprise when nearly 300 people showed up and signed the banner!

Despite the cool and windy conditions, it was a great day.

For those of you who don't know, Monday April 13th was Tax Freedom day. From January 1st until April 13th you worked to pay taxes. Now the money is yours. For as long as the government lets us keep it!
